Remember my last post on tesco online? Because of its convenience i used the service again. Few items are not available and they replace it but i rejected 3 of them.  Both missy 3 and baby N are under the weather so i didnt want to leave them at home with their nanny so this is the best choice. I wish they sell missy 3's karihome milk powder then i really don't have to go grocery shopping at the mall again. I will use tesco online service for my monthly groceries shopping from now on (wow tesco should consider me for their paid ad hor? Lol)

Day 10

Hello hello what is cooking? Eh puasa ke tak ni hahaha.. Simple dish today, ayam masak kicap je, add in fried potatoes and peas. Cooked for missy 3's lunch so sekali la for iftaar ok.

Dulu, (eceh) i am crazy about handbags. Probably sebab kerja yang selalu menghantarku (cewah) ke switzerland that membolehkan aku beli handbag2 ni dgn harga asal di europe dan bukan harga boutique kat malaysia. I was realy crazy that time, one time i took the euro train and went to paris alone to experience sendiri beli handbag bukan sahaja di gallery lafayette tapi di Champ Eleysse.. Sorang2! Haha.. That was the craziest la i think, amek the 1st train, pg champ Eleysse dulu dah dpt bags kat situ pg gallery lafayette beli pulak bags kat situ pas tu nasib baik dapat cab driver muslim dia bawak jenjalan tgk eiffel tower etc..

And offcourse because we can enter the diplomat shop, we got to buy handbags (few brands je la) with a fraction of the cost. Lebih murah daripada boutique pulak tu! Some of us even went to italy so bolehla tumpang sekali jugak beli handbag tanpa charge berlebihan hahaa.. 

But belum la sampai tahap channel and hermes. But hopefully dapatla satu walaupun channel gst dan Herbeg je haha.. Anywho, yang beg kim kardashian pakai ni , i know its animal cruelty tapi kalau ceq ada duit berjuta lemon mungkin ceq beli jugak kot? Ka macamana?? Patotla tak banyak sgt duitnya kan hahahaha..

I know some of you just cant brain kenapa ada manusia sukanhandbag mcm aku.. Padahal tidakla tukar hari2 pun handbag tu.. I guess setiap manusia ada different interest. For me, setiap bag that i bought have its own personality and u can feel it.. Samala mcm org yg kumpul penggendong bayi sampai ada 20 buat apa tatau.. Paling kuat pakai 2 je mak bawak satu ayah bawak satu kan? Ataupun orang yg obses dgn pokok bunga dok kasi penuh taman makin hari makin penuh, nak kene jaga siram, bila panas sgt risau, hujan lebih sket risau, tapi bagi depa satu kepuasan kan? 

So tak payahlah sibuk nak ckp "akak tak pahamla kenapa u nk beli handbag2 mahal mcm ni, bagi akak tak perlu pun membazir bukan ada apa pun beli yg tiruan pun bukan org tau".. I suka so I beli, u tak suka tak yah beli. Tapi bila i pakai Sibuk pulak nak belek2.. "Eh cantiknye, soft je lamb skin dia".. Like duhhhhhh

Masak utk semua selera

When el kapitan is not around, i am super duper lazy to cook different dishes for me and missy 3. So what i did is improvising missy 3's meal to suit my tekak. Contoh mcm ni, her favourite fishballs and bee hoon in clear broth. I will top it off with any kind of sambal (in this case sambal hijau kering) and tadaaaaa berselera mak kau makan 3 mangkok nak hahahahaha..

Bila el kapitan ada baru la mak kau bersilat kat dapur nak masak mcm2 lauk.. Till then kita share jela ye nak satu lauk. (Mau anakku jawab eh bukan daddy ada kita beli kat luar je? Lol)

Nota kaki: sambal hijau kering tu only made up of anchovies and bird eyes chillies yg dikeringkan. 

Iftaar day errr 6?

Just cooked the choy sum (i think) in oyster sauce with chicken. Sayur for mummy and chicken for the little ones. Iltakde semangat nak masak this few days..

Oh semangat masak tlglah datang. Ya ya :p

You come from my heart

Today one of the teacher at missy 3 school expressed her concern about one boy (whose sibling is in missy 3 class) who made up stories about his dad were dead eaten by a tiger on their trip to the zoo. 

The truth is that both of them are adopted kids. And the mom never marries. I love how the mom explained to the kid:

"You come from another mummy's tummy. When you were born your mom caught an illness and couldnt take care of you. God decided that you are going to be my kid." To which the child replied "How about daddy?".. "Your dad is away for work and hence couldn't take care of both you and your mum. I am your mum now. We are a family without a man in the house because i was never married. Even without a father we are still a family unit. You are the man of the housey. You did not come from my tummy but you come from my heart.."

Short and precise. I look up to the mom. I wish her all of the luck in this world.

Now, i need to talk to missy 3, i don't think she quite understood the idea yet but the teacher wanted all parents to be aware of the situation and if our children ask we should come with an answer. I imagined she'll say "oo daddy dont have because wotk at sea like me".. Lol

However, this incident made me think that the child must be very brilliant to made up a story to his friend about his daddy. Also lesson learnt for me that we should be truthful to our kid because lets face it they are not like us anymore. They have mind set of their own.

To all single mother out there, i really admire you, having witness one of the challenges you have got to go through on a daily basis. I pray that you'll be stronger each and every day. I hope i will never walk alone.. 

Update: as expected missy 3 asked about her friend's daddy to which i replied. Somehow it got lost in translation and missy 3's reply was "oooo her daddy far away like papa, working at sea".. Apa apa lah anak oiiii.. Lol

School

Missy 3 have started going to school since she is 2 years old. At first, we were only trying to get her to socialize and develop social skills like sharing etc. It is not so much of learning though. We've done some research and we found out that Julia Gabriel Centre of learning offers an adult accompanied program. 3 times a week and mummy get to be in the class playing and singing together with the kids. Julia's system is a little bit different than Montessori as they emphasize their learning through drama approach. So their learning method mostly comes either thru singing, dancing or role play. It was fun! Missy 3 had fun that she graduated the adult accompanied program to a stepping stones class.

Well at her age, she can jump to nursery one class but my preference is still for her to be in a playnursery (half day) as i dont want her to be bored when kindergarten started soon. We were very keen on Julia's approach that we decided to let missy 3 continue her preschool here. I was flipping thru her term 3 subjects just now and was impressed that a simple thing (refer to the pic) is related to science! Haha selama ni dok main2 saja and never thought of explaining to her the science behind rusted coins. 

It is all about sea this term, it is good since missy 3 loves mermaid so much! Must pujuk el kapitan to get her the mermaid tail that she really wanted for her 3rd birthday!  Oh maybe we can ask el kapitan to take as much picture of him onboard so that for her show and tell, missy 3 can show her friends that her daddy is out at the sea! 

Iftaar day 4

Found the recipe from chooyaya secret garden's blog. But i didnt buy the sambal hijau.. Made it myself. Boiled egg and then fry it, goreng dgn sambal hijau (always ada stock dkt my house, will blog about it later) and add onion. 

Marvellous! Makan dgn sup cendawan ohooiii... Niceeeee

Again, i wish i am this rajin when el kapitan is around ahahaha..

Why oh why

Decided to bring missy 3 to toys r us today as a treat since she has been doing well at her playnursery. She was torn between lego friends and the shopkins. Lego won that battle.

Then I remembered that they still dont have shoes for hari raya (ya ya must buy new shoes kiasu right). So we went to our favourite store. I asked her to choose the kasut and off course she has to choose the one with princess on it. The problem is.. It is a sport shoesssss worrrrrr.. 

She asked for ariel ones which is in blue some more! Luckily takde size, so we settled with cinderella instead (mak dia guna kuasa veto since she merajuk already her ariel shoes takde). The kasut have sensor yg bila jalan ada lampu tu.. Adoila anakkkkkuuuu...

Luckily my missy kenit is still too small to understand. Mummy picked the bunga2 ones for her hahahaha.

Stride rite! Why do u have to sell disney princess "sport" shoes for hari raya?? Aiyyyoo..

Iftaar day 3

Ngeh ngeh ngeh.. Altough it is saturday, still very lazy to go to the ramadhan bazaar, so just fry nasi goreng kampung instead. A bit salty though hahahahha

Feeling arabic much? Banyak status fb kata when ramadhan comes everybody try to be alim and say happy ramadhan instead of selamat berpuasa, iftaar instead of buka puasa etc etc.. One more thing mula la sibuk tayang menu berbuka or sahur.. Eh lantaklah hahaha..

Anyway, it is the socond day of puasa and i still belum ada time to go to ramadhan bazaar yet.. I cook at home instead padahal bersemangat 2 weeks before puasa aim nak beli macam2 untuk buka.. Yesterday i cooked sup petola with fucuk.. And for today.....

Ramadhan

Its that time of the year again, fasting month for muslim which is known as ramadhan. My child is still fully breastfeeding and i need to pump the milk constantly so that she have mama's milk whenever i am out sending her sister to school or run errands. So, for sahur i tried the overnight oats. 

Last night i almost vomited haha.. But Alhamdulillah the milk supply ada. Tonight i am doing it again, basically it is just one part rolled oats, 1 part milk and one part yogurt mixed together and let it stay overnight in the fridge for the oats to soak on the yummy goodness of yogurt and milk. It tastes a bit blend so u might want to add honey. Kalau rajin letak la toppings of blueberry or crunchy nuts or cornflakes masa nak served but at 5 am in the morning who cares! Hahaha

*i love pura milk usually tak beli low fat, beli full cream blue color milk carton tapi takde low fat pun boleh lah!*

Pegang pegang peluk peluk

Few days back (before ramadhan duh) i was out to watch jurassic park at gsc signature cinema. One very young couple  depan i peluk peluk sampai the prempuan so close bawah ketiak the guy, sampai she cannot even hold her handbag (laki tu la pegang dah diorang peluk ketat2 takde ruang for the girl to even pegang her handbag. U get the pictureeee???). They are very young probably like form 4, tried to bersangka baik anggap they all dah kawen until i heard the guy said, smalam masa i tgh call u adik sibuk je nak dgr, susah nak sembang dgn awek. Ok blm married. What pissed me off is the girl pakai sungguh sopan skirt labuh and bertudung lengkap! Yg jenis tutup dada sume. Come on, the tudung is there so that you can control yourself for buat benda2 tak elok. 

They were queuing behind me nak tgk the same movie, which forces me to buy a gold class tix! Taknak berbulu mata tgk drama lain dgn diorang. Sebelum pergi i sempat sound "terpeluk peluk terpeluk peluk, tudung tu bukak dulu dik". Automatically siorang lepas pelukan and look at me. Dapat la jelingan maut satu! 

Come on people jangan la pakai tudung kalau blm bersedia atau untuk fashion, u must carry at least sikit ciri2 muslimah. Malu lah sikit. Or bukak jela tudung tu dik.

Dont get me started on niqab yg sampai jadi viral tu. Betul kita cuba nak jadi terbaik tapi tgk niat tu ikhlas ke nak menunjuk? Kalau tak dapat kwal nafsu serakah than better jangan berpura pura baik and pakai tudung sgala.

Yes i am narrow minded like that and i dont care!

Oyster shucked

Had a quick lunch with my friend just now. I love oysters so much! But the fresh ones.. Cant tolerate cooked oysters or mussels though..

Entree was a trio of oysters which i cant remember the names at all! Hahaha.. Left is the normal ones serves at hotel I guess because it tasted so familiar, middle one has a strong sea and gamy feel to it, but the other one bunyi mcm aur claire or something is very very nice!

Since an hour or so before our lunch date I had my eggs benedict at twg, i opted for a lighter lunch..

Need to Feed the Need (NFN)

I have always wanted (i know i know i used this phrase a lot) to do charity of somesort.. But i dont know how and when. I dont have a friend that isn involved in any charity organisation. 

One day, i saw a post from Miss C in one of the group that i joined in Facebook about homeless and urban poor kids that needs pampers and milk. I thought this might be my chance to give back something to the community. So i contacted miss C and asked for more details. Then i contacted friend and families from few wa group to ask if they wanted to give donations.

It was kind of slow at first, so i decided to use my money first to buy the pampers and milk and show the pic to the wa group. Maybe they will be interested if knowing that their money is being used for buying those stuff and not just sitting there in my bank account.

Alhamdulillah.. Everybody starts to chipped in and last minute request from family member forcing me to add more pampers and milk since i realised i didnt give anything! Semua pon org dah book haha.. Then i delivered the diapers and milk to miss c at Balakong.

Off course dalam setiap perkara kita buat akan ada somebody yg complaint haha.. Some said that rather than giving diapers, why not cloth diaper so that they can use it for long term. Some said why giving to small fishes rather then tackling the big fish.  

For me, talk is cheap. U want to donate cloth diaper, by all means pls do, I even pointed out that I will buy the cloth diaper, just give me the freaking money dude! Hahaha. Also ya i know there is bigger corporation, zakat bla bla bla but do you know how long does it take for them to get the money? How many forms to be filled and the wait? Therefore, I am doing my small part, to give the family one more week to sustain. If you want to approach the big fish, by all means pls do so!

Delectables

I've always wanted to try the cake from delectables. From what I read it is a bakery for designer wedding cakes but they also sell normal cakes. Not many choices though and it is small like 1/3 of Secret Recipe's cake! They have a cake shop at The Gardens, so i bought their victoria sandwich cake. 

My pick was a chocolate cake with strawberries and cream in each layer. It was fantabulous!!! Please please please do try their cake. It is a bit pricey for a small cake. Well it is a designer cake afterall but it is all worth it!

Tgh drive dkt elite highway suddenly this message apper dkt dashboard. I do what woman do best, I panicked!!!! Berenti dkt bahu jalan (amboi skema).. Read again the message ooo can still drive slowly because it is a run flat tyre.. Exited the highway and wait for my dad hahahaha.. Bunyi mcm nak tukar tyre sendiri je tadikan..

Tgk mcm ok je kan? My dad came and said ni punctured ni.. Aik ye ker?? Anywho this is what punctured my tyre:

A nail? Screw? Longgggg one right? 

Alhamdulillah nothing happen to me, good thing it was a run flat tyre.. We were thinking of changing to a normal ones. Hubby commented that we should try to keep this safety future for our car..

C-sect

Recently, a post went viral on fb about a woman who died because of uterine rupture few hrs after labour. The women was allegedly pregnant with her second child 3 months after she delivered her first baby. Read this before, i think it is commonly known as irish twin, whereby your second child will be born before the first child reach his/her 1st birthday (get it??)

The above is a statement made by another person in fb, which is very legit. It is exactly what my gynae told us. I was pregnant with my third child when my second  daughter is 17 month (1 yr ++) with a low lying placenta condition or better known as placenta previa. My pregnancy was categorised as a high risk pregnancy (my first child is a still born - story about that later maybe and my second one was born via c-sect due to punctured water bag). 

As adviced by the gynae, we opted for elective caesarean for the second baby. We had a lot of unkind remarks made by friends and family. They said that I should try experiencing normal vaginal birth. Some said that the doctor is choosing the easy way out, "taknak fikir", "ada duit blh bayar". Some even mocking me by saying "tak merasa la mcmana mak sakit nak bersalin". "Kalau dah takdir takde rezeki c-sect pon blm tentu baby selamat". Amboiiiiiiiiii.... 

We were very thankful that we stick to our decision despite of what people have said to us. As I said before, we chose to "do something" about our pregnancy rather than biar takdir menentukan because "kita perlu berusaha sebelum menyerahkan pada takdir". And again u guys have no idea what we have to ho througj to get our babies. So please stop judging othet people's life. 

I think I lost my point for this entry. The emotion got the better of me. Sorry if I've just wasted your time reading this.

Tesco online

I have always been intrigued with this kind of online shopping. I mean, can we really buy our vegetables online? 

But today I decided to try. Want to know why? Because we had our 'nightmare' monthly grocery shooping last month, our kitchrn is almost empty, we need to get everything! (amboi haha). From 10kg rice to persil to clorox to pampers. Imagine, 1.5k worth if grocery! My car is full! Bahu sakit senget2 angkat barang! So this time lets do it online. 

Its really easy.. Tapi sbb nak try beli sket dulu.. Download their apps, order, book slot untuk dia hantar and tadaaaa.. Sayur suma very fresh. 

Will definitely shop online next time around. 'Kakak! Ada apa2 lagi barang dahnhabes??' Hhhahahahaha

Bemalas and the Gorpis

Have u heard about the Gorpis? They are bunch of guys who sells Goreng Pisang Cheese pelbagai perisa. They only have two outlet (as of the day I wrote this article), kota damansara and kopi xoxo bangsar. I read reviews about it. It is THE goreng pisang this millenium with a catch. It aint easy to get. The wait may stretch to 2 hrs on weekend!!! Idokla beta menunggu bawah pohon sena selama 2 jam untuk pisang yg digoreng. 

Now.. Have you heard about Bemalas? Well, they offer you a service, to get anything and I mean anything (their berunner will get it for you) with a service charge that they call "lazy fee". Simply text them, pay online and they will get it for you!

 

Combine the two together??? And I got the Gorpis! Its probably the most expensive goreng pisang I ever ate but it is all worth it. I dont have to wait under the hot sun and get to taste the goreng pisang.

My verdict on the goreng pisang: It is deliciousssss! Go rasa weyyy.

My verdict on bemalas srvc: Will defintely use their service again!

Proffesionalism

My fb wall is full of this issue today. Bunch of Doctors were under scrutinized for their honest opinion. This particular fb status is about homebirth. The doctor needs to repair a 3rd degree tear on a patient that recently had a homebirth. Yes probably it is non-ethical for the docor to rant it out on social media. Some even make a harsh comment of jahit guna lidi or something..

But isnt it true????? You chose to do homebirth, not trusting the gynae to help you during child birth, critisized the hosp, doctors, painkillers kononnya agent yahudi bla bla bla but yet when it is too late you came to this doctors and ask for help???? 

I know kita sebagai muslim perlu percaya pada takdir, kun faya kun. Kalau dah ajal atas katil pon blh mati (read this comment once). But islam also menuntut kita untuk tidak menzalimi diri. Allah gives us akal fikiran and kepandaian so that some of us could be a doctor and assit u. Why would you tolak them? Tidakkah kamu tidak mensyukuri nikmat yg Allah beri?

And one more thing you guys membebel pasal homebirth dekat social media boleh pulak, mengata doctors ni, bragging about your homebirth success blh pulak on social media? Bila doctor higlight about the failure u marah?

New blog

Someone give me an idea to blog since I basically have got nothing to do at home! Lets face it, i am relatively new to this stay at home mom thing.. 

I was once (like a month ago) a deputy director in one of the GLC. I was once a career oriented lady but suddenly I just dont feel like it and I quit much to the delighted of my hubby that has been pastering me for almost 3 yrs now. 

Maybe this will do good to me. This is My first blog but certainly my first experience to publish it openly to others to read. I'll maintain the other 'private' blog for 'private' matters. Now let us all begin..
